Is Bleeding And Cramping Due To Abortion A Week Ago Or The Menstrual Cycle?

I just had an abortion a week ago and I started my birth control yesterday.... They told me the amount of blood loss varies as well as the time that it would last. So my blood loss has been light as well as hit and miss on a daily. I started bleeding and cramping again today, how would I know the difference between the blood from the abortion and blood from my cycle

Hello dear,
I understand your concern.

In my opinion the bleeding might be related to abortion.

As the menstrual cycle will start after a month around the dates when the abortion occurred this bleeding is more related to abortion.

I suggest you to get an ultrasound done to check for any incomplete abortion.

The incomplete abortion might present with irregular bleeding or spotting.

So confirmation can be done by ultrasound.

Relax.Nothing to worry.

But there is no chance for the menstrual bleeding to occur this early after abortion.
