Hi,

Inderal might reduce the GFR (kidney function) to some extent in some patients, however normally not in a significant way. But there are many other medical drugs to control the blood pressure. Inderal is a very old medication, today less used against high blood pressure but rather for the treatment of heart conditions and other illnesses. Your mother should discuss this with her nephrologist and GP/family doctor. There is an abundance of medications for this condition.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
