Is Amoxicillin Normal Medication For An Infant To Treat UTI And E Coli Infection?
After checking for UTI my 9 month old granddaughter was just diagnosed at Presbyterian hospital with e coli. I am worried about her. What are some warning signs and how typical is this for young infants? She was put on Amoxicillin, is this normal medication? Please advise!

Amoxicillin is a broad spectrum antibiotics.Quite safe for children and quite effective also.
Occasionally some loose motions may be the side effects of drug which can easily be overcome by addition of some probiotic along with amoxi.
