Is Cefixime Oral Suspension Ip Safe For An Infant And What Is Its Purpose?

Hi, our daughter is 3months and 2weeks old. She has got some fever and breathing problem 2days back.
Our daughter prescribed;
(a) Cefixime Oral suspension Ip
(b) Sinarest with Paracetamol drops
(c) Saline drops.
We are fine with the last two medicines, but not very much happy about giving our baby an antibiotic.
(The entire medicine is for 3days.)
We gave her the first day, and confused whether to continue giving her the anitbiotic.
Whats is Cefixime Oral suspension Ip exactly used for
