Inserted Stent Twice. Complaining Of Shoulder Blade Pain. Is Hospitalization Necessary?
My husband has two questions. My husband started working out (age 67) at community center and sitting in 104 degrees hot tub afterwards. He has had a stent in widow maker 4y years. H e said he noticed he did not feel as good and he wondered if it could hurt his heat? Fors days ago we rushed hin to the hospital and he received another stent (center) with a 199 % blockage. All went well and he came home Tuesday. Today is Thursday and he says he has a pain in his shoulder blade all day. I wanted to take him back to the hospital, he said no . Aspirin did help some
Dear Ma'm Welcome to HC magic A pain in shoulder blade in this scenario may be caused by inflammation of pericardium (A thin cover around heart) although there can be other causes. This inflammation may be related to damage during the last cardiac episode or the procedure itself. These kind of pain especially (and any other pain also) responds to aspirin. I would request you to see your doctor and get him examined so that real cause for pain can be determined. Sincerely Sukhvinder singh
