Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am six week pregnant this is pregnancy # 3 I have be feeling sick for the pass 3 weeks but started vomiting about 9 day ago can keep anything down went to the hospital on monday and was given. Gravol suppositoires which is of no help to me now for the pass few days I have been vomiting some black thing my head hurt my belly hurt and I feel real bad
I understand your concerns. I think that you should be proud to be pregnant. It is a wonderful thing to be a mother in the future. Vomiting is usually present in the first trimester and goes away within a few days to weeks. For those that vomiting persists, they need treatment. I would think that you should visit with your obstetrician if it persists and get treatment. However, use relaxation strategies and distract yourself so as not to get yourself to go to a doctor who would prescribe medications that may not be the best thing for you or your baby.
I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
