How To Treat Menstrual Irregularity?

I have been experiencing heavy periods, that are somewhat irregular. Swelling hands, some joint pain, alot of skin breakouts especially on my back. Dry skin and the areas around my fingernails look awful. Also alot of fatigue and migraines. I am an 18 year old, white female.

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

I think that the best option for you will be to start a course of oral contraceptive pills for three cycles. Also, I would suggest you to have a thyroid profile test done and prolactin test done as these hormonal irregularities can lead to menstrual irregularities.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
