How To Treat Ear Infection Of A Baby?

My baby recently had what was diagnosed as an ear infection. She still acts sensitive to the touching of that ear and a sticky, slimy, and odd smelling substance is now coming out of the ear. Is it an ear infection, or is this the discharge synonymous with a ruptured ear drum?

Hi, thanks for the query.
You donot mention age / Wt of your baby. After reading your query , it appears that your baby having middle ear infection with rupture ear drum ( ASOM ). It is common in baby after cold/cough & wrong method of breastfeeding.

I will suggest you to please consult your ENT doctor because here clinical examination is very important to diagnose the real fact and accordingly treatment may be planed.
