How To Treat A Bump At The Bottom Of Left Middle Finger?

Hit my finger against a cabinrt this morning. At first a grape size bump came up at bottom of left middle finger on top of hand. It seemed to be getting better as morning went on (I applied ice), but I m at work and use keyboard a lot, and now bump is quite large, not golf ball size, but larger than earlier.

Swelling ir due to trauma. Only fracture is to be ruled out. If no fracture then analgesic tablet and cold compression is enough. .
