How To Stop Lamictal Medicine Which Have Been Taking For Anxiety And Depression?
I have been on Lamictal for about six months I would like to get off of this medication. I do no t see any difference. I do have anxiety and depression, due to things going on in my life..this is not an on going thing with me. How do I stop taking this medication?

Lamictal contains lamotrigine and it is a mood stabilizer. If you want to stop it, you can taper it down gradually by 12.5mg per week and then stop it. For anxiety or depression, you can take antidepressant like paroxetine or benzodiazepine that would give you better result that lamictal. Rest, you can discuss with you psychiatrist.
