How To Reduce Saliva In Mouth Due To Throat Infection?

Hi, Earlier I went to see the doctor. I have sore throat, cough, and producing a lot of saliva. I told that my doctor. Like always my doctor took my tempter, 100 F. Then checked my heart and lungs, clear. Lastly my mouth my doctor notes that I have infection in my throat. My doctor prescribed me amoxicillin. I already took one pill today, the reason why I am writing for help is I m producing a lot of saliva. I been spiting in a water bottle trust me it s half way full in just one hour. How can I reduce the saliva in my mouth?

I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.
Difficulty in swallowing associated with sore throat could also appear as excessive salivation.
I recommend the following.
1) Avoid taking coffee or tea.
2) Avoid smoking.
3) Limit the intake of liquids and sweet or sore foods.
4) Maintain good oral and dental hygiene.
5) Anticholinergic medications to inhibit salivary gland secretion.
6) Transdermal patch of scopolamine.
