How To Prevent The Vomiting For A Person Having Esophagitis?

My husband vomits several times a day. He had an upper GI scope and the doctor said he had esophagitis. He prescribe Prilosec. My husband has no heartburn or gas problems. His doctor didn t prescribe anything to help with the vomiting. He drinks small amounts of water all day long to stay hydrated. But he vomits within 30 minutes to an hour after every meal. Was wondering what he should do to help ease his stomach?

Hello
Thank for choosing HCM
Two thing I would discus here first if it is the esophagitis then most of the time it may be due to hyperacidity or more precisely it is the "GERD" (Gastroesophageal reflux disease ) and due to this inflammation takes place, condition may associate with vomiting or may not, second if it is the history of vomiting then underlying cause of it need to be treated else vomiting alone can be managed symptomatically with Tab Domperidone three times in day, second drug of choice would be Ondansetron, If I would be Doctor of such case then I would treat this case with PPI (Proton pump inhibitor like Omeprazole 40 mg daily for six week with Domperidone ) hope this information helps.
