How To Overcome The Severe Pain From My Lower Back Down To My Leg?
My husband has been to a doctor with severe pain from his lower back down his leg. The pain is so bad that he wake up all night walking and looking for medicine to eaze the pain. He has an appointment with a neurologist, but it is next month on the 9th. We need some help as soon as possible. What can I do?
I have studied your case. As you are having pain there can be spinal nerve involvement
I will advise you MRI spine. If you’re MRI shows disc bulge with nerve compression then surgery may help. Due to compression of this nerve root there is weakness in your leg and pain associated with it.
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started. Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and TENS therapy will help.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care
