Hello,

Treatment depends upon the where is the abscess? In the liver or other organs, culture and sensitivity, age of the patient and size of the abscess, associated comorbidities.

If abscess size is bigger >4 cm need aspiration or surgical drainage.

If less give a trial of antibiotics if no response needs surgery.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
