ok, so i believe i scrtched the back of my throat the other day while eating sunchips, however i forgot about it and was convinced i had a sore throat considering its onthe right side aND i am now bleeding from that spot. i have been coughing up phlem so i think its a minor cold ant the scratch just didnt help but the blood out of nowhere is concerning me and it is also accompanied with a minor ear ache. HELP
The blood may be coming from the scratch of the mucosa of the throat. It needs time to heal. It should have no problem within 1 to 2 days. The sore throat and the phlegm does not come from the scratch. You are most probably going through an upper respiratory tract infection. During an infection the mucosa of the throat becomes swollen and inflamed which can make it more prone to bleeding. Also the ear ache can be part of that upper respiratory tract infection.
I want to assure you all these symptoms does not come from the food and the scratch you felt on the throat. Take medication as needed for the symptoms. Ibuprofen 400 mg maximum every 6 hours should help with the pains and discomfort. If worse or not better within 3-5 days, consider seeing a local doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
