How To Cure Muscle Tightness In The Throat?

Hi. I seem to have a throat muscle which isn't performing correctly and has'nt done so for the last 8 months. I've been for a swallow x ray which confirmed this to be the case and I'm waiting further consultation. Basically, my throat constantly feels tight apart from at night or first thing in the morning. Any ideas on possible solutions to free this throat muscle or is there a medical procedure to do so?
