I am 52 and have had High blood pressure (HPB) for upward of 25 years, i have been treated ever since with different types of antihypertensive drugs. about 10 years ago i developed diabetes and also taking treatment for that. in the last five years, i have been taking amlodipine 10mg once daily, C0-diovan 160/12.5 once daily and recently my doctor introduced metropolol 100mg once per day but i still do not achieve good control. fo my diabetes i take one gram of metformin twice daily and 15mg of glympride (daonil) daily and i do not achieve good control. as of yesterday, my BP in the morning was 157/94, which i consider too high especially with my diabetes condition. it has been like this for a long time. Sometimes, it will suddenly bee controlled and it may last two weeks and go back to status quo. Last year i visited Bupa in London and did a comprehensive test and the doctor insisted i should continue with my drugs, please provide me with what i can do to remain healthy and enjoy a good sugar and blood pressure control. Although my health is very stable, and i hardly fall sick despite the condition. Am a professional accountant working with an EU project and with a very reasonable income.
