How To Control TSH Level?

I am on Levothyroxine 125 for 4 years (post i-131 therapy for Grave s) and every time I come back from a hiking vacation trip( 1-2 weeks long) my TSh level drops below 0.3 eventhough I keep taking Levothyroxine the same way.Is there an explanation or anyting I can do about it, because I have hyperthyroid sympthoms for quite a while after my trips?

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Firstly levothyroxine is a thyroxine supplement. It means its fulfilling the requirement of thyroxine that your thyroid gland is not producing.
Whenever the free T4 and free T3 levels rises or are at upper normal range, the TSH levels are 'low' or lower normal.
And you are saying that you have hyperthyroidism symptoms for a time so what i feel is that the dose of levothyroxine that you are taking is high and that is causing decreased TSH and increase in hyperthyroidism symptoms.
I would advice you to undergo total thyroid study that is TSH, free T3 and T4 and consult your doctor.
I feel you need reduction in dosage of levothyroxine.
Kindly give me feedback with your reports. I would like to know them.
Thank you
