DEAR DOCTOR! EIGHT MONTHS AGO I MET WITH HBSAG POSITIVE. MY CONSULTANT DOCTOR SAID THAT IT IS ACUTE HEPATITS B. IT IS CURABLE. FORTUNATELY NOW IAM HBSAG NEGATIVE. MY QUESTION IS THERE ANY CHANE TO GET BACK THIS VIRUS? MY WIFE IS CHRONICLE HEPATITIS B CARRIER. PLEASE TELL ME THE STEPS WHAT WE TAKEN TO BETTER LIVELYHOOD?

Let me know you 95% case acute hepatitis b infection resolved by itself with the time by our immunity ...

If after six month hbsag positive than chance of carrier is there ..

But now you have HBSag negative so no chance of Carrier stage but your wife us HBSag carrier so you might acquire infection but in future. ..

So you can take vaccine for that ....(HBSag vaccine 0,1,6 month )

Try to avoid unprotected intercourse ....
Use condom while having sex with her...
The sharing of object avoided. ...

Utensil washed properly ....0.5% bleach solution can be used for that.....

This is what best advise I can give ....
