Regular intake of alcohol affects your mental abilities, mental sharpness, IQ and the liver functions first of all. You can only get your liver function tests done by any lab to see how much damage it has already done to your liver. Strong will power is needed to stop drinking.

sir my friend consumes alcohol regularly or we can say he is addicted to alcohol. for few day he has been forced to stop drinking by his family. two day back he complained of vomiting with blood . headache and restlessness. He also consumed 4-5 tablets of dispirin the day he vomited. Now he feel sleepy with blurred speech and memory loss problem. His parents are confused whether he is addicted to some drugs or just doing emotional drama to get their sympathy for gettiing some financial help as he is unemployed to fullfill his desire for alcohol. His parents has already spared lot of money on him.
I had a egd and colonoscopy a few days ago. I was diagnosed with duodenitis, diverticulosis, and had a couple polyps they biopsied. I was told to take otc omeprazole and metamucil/fiber in my diet. My question is this. I don t drink alcohol often. Maybe a couple of times a month tops. After the test they said don t drink any alcohol. Is this something i am going to have to get used to or will it just be for awhile? Is there a said period of time to avoid alcohol? I have had this problem off and on since last May. I myself thought i had gallbladder problems. All those tests came back fine. Can gallbladder have much/anything to do with this? Since the beginning of this year i have maybe had a couple of weeks without problems/pain with food digestion. There are so many foods i can t eat or couldn t until i started the omeprazole. Here is a short list: coffee, beans of any kind, pork products, beef products, milk products, peanut butter, corn , brocoli, sour cream, lettuce, fish, fried foods, fatty foods. Not sure if you have all the answers to my question. I do see the doctor again this coming Friday and will try to get some of the answers i don t get here.

Hi, My wife had a dermoyd cyst removed a few year ago and with it her left ovary. Every since then, she has had a really hard time during her period. Lately, she has experienced a rapid heart rate. She is 23 years old and 105lbs. Generally healthy but she is a smoker. She rarely drinks alcohol and doesn't do any drugs. Her water intake is good as is her diet. She doesn't feel any stress, although, our life is rather stressful. She is anemic and has low blood pressure and her heart rate averages around 100bpm during her period. Is this something we should worry about?
