How Soon Can I Expect To Feel Normal Again After Chemo And Radiation?
I have just completed 7 weeks of chemo & radiation & spent a week in the hospital with sepsis infection that started with a sinus infection. I am very weak & tired & am wondering if there is any way I can det5ermine what is a normal recovery time I can expect. I also had 2 back to back surgeries before the chemo for cervical cancer and both had a 6 week recovery period. My body has been through 5 and 1/2 months of torment. How soon can I expect to feel normal again?
Hi and welcome to HCM. Thanks for the query. These are typical side effects of chemo and radiotherapy and symptoms may last for several months after it is done.So just be patient, eat well, take vitamins and try to think positively. If you have nausea and vomiting you can take some antiemetic drugs. Wish you good health. Regards
