How Safe Is Taking Novo-prednisone & Aspirin For Cardio Vascular Aneurism?

My husband was just prescribed 5mg x8 novo-prednisone, he is on 81mg aspirin, had cardio vascular aneurism 1997 on Lipitor + blood pressure pills Has fungus toe nails. He starts prednisone in the morning Has a heart murmur. Is there some food that he should not eat... He also has a balance problem.. He s been coughing past 5 days could not get app. till Thursday.. Is it ok for him to take this medication? I have anxiety problems, myself and had 2 stents put in Dec 2019.

Yes certainly all the prescribed medications are safe for him.Fungal infection should be additionally treated with systemic antifungal drugs like Terbinafine or griseofulvin under strict medical prescription.Foods rich in sodium like spinach and tomato and sea foods should not be consumed.Likewise a complete 2 dimensional echo should be performed to evaluate the impact of aneurysm on the heart.This can also revise the stent status.Vital parameters have to be controlled well.MRI of the aneurysm has to done periodically to document the size to prevent potential complications of rupture.Anxiety has to be well controlled with drugs like Clonazepam for short period of 3-6 months. Consult an expert cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon for expert management.Post your further queries if any.
