How Long Should One Wait After Using Ibuprofen To Take Prednisone?

Hello-
My brother has had a bad allergic reaction to penecillin for 4 days. He finally saw a doctor today and got some prednisone, but the pharmacist told him he could not take it yet because he took ibuprofen today. How long does he have to wait to take the prednisone?

Hi!
I read carefully your query.
Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
is used to reduce fever and treat pain or inflammation caused by many conditions such as headache, toothache, back pain, arthritis, menstrual cramps, or minor injury.
Prednisone is a synthetic corticosteroid drug that is particularly effective as an immunosuppressant drug.It is used to treat allergic disorder.

They acts with different mechanism of action, they don't interact with each other so you don't have to wait to take Prednison.
You can take it as your doctor prescribed it despite Ibuprofen.

Wish you good health.
Take care
