How Long Should Duphastone Be Taken During Pregnancy?

hi am 28 years old am 14 weeks & 4 days pregnant am still using duphastone,my gyno prescribed that for me from the first week. I saw him yesterday and he adviced that i should continue with drug for another month.have been using this drug together with folate but have changed from folate to FEFOL. I have multiple fibroids and i have been experiencing blood spot every week of the pregnancy with a minimum flow of 3 days. The bleeding has so far stopped for the last one week and the baby is ok. should i discontinue with the duphastone?

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Duphaston basically has progesterone which is of Paramount importance in continuation of pregnancy.
It is routinely prescribed drug and is safe for both mother and baby.
There are high chances of abortion due to fibroids so better if you keep taking it in prescribed doses.
Take care. In case you have other questions you can contact me directly on http://bit.ly/drmanishajain
