Hello,
Effexor is a medication used to treat depression. It doesn't have any side effects in regards to effects on your mental capacity. Some people experience worsening of depression, worsening suicidal thoughts, and sometimes increased anxiety. If this medication does not help your depression, you could speak to your physician about stopping it. However, do not stop it abruptly or you could have side effects. Methadone is a depressant to your central nervous system and brain. This medication could possible cause trouble with your mental capacity. Although you have been on it for 7 years, there are methods to help wean you off of this medication. You could speak to your methadone clinic about this issue. I don't think your teeth have anything to do with these medications. This is likely due to the bacteria in your mouth. Since you are on methadone I assume you have a history of drug abuse. It is possible that you took methamphetamines? These drugs can damage your teeth as well. Other than that problems with your teeth are likely related to poor oral hygiene.
