I have noted your diagnosis and treatment prescribed.
You are correct and bang on target. Hydoxyzine is a medicine for allergies and not for
migraine. So, you doctor has got it wrong.
For migraine, you should take
sumatriptan or
rizatriptan tablets.
If you have recurrent headache, you would benefit from preventive medications such as beta blockers,
divalproex or
topiramate.
