How Can Tonsil Swelling With Dysphagia Be Treated?
I just noticed it tonight - right tonsil swollen but doesn t hurt, feels like something stuck in my throat. I have a eustachian tube dysfunction that has been acting up, but this is the first time with a swollen tonsil, and I feel very run down. Is this a virus/infection? I had mono 6 years ago as well.
Tonsilitis may can cause eustachian tube block and middle ear infection. It may also cause foreign body sensation and pain. So use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet Amoxicillin and Clauvulinic acid 625 mg for five days. If the symptoms not improved please consult with your physician he will do throat swab and culture sensitivity then treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
