How Can Thyroid Levels In Pregnancy Be Controlled?
Sir, my daughter is now pregnent since 1 and half months. She is having thyroid problem. Thyroid level is 6.6. As per doctor advice she is taking THYRONORM 25 mg. daily one time before food. Any other solution to bring down the level. what type of food she has to take. please give your advice. Thanks
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Hypothyroidism in pregnancy with increased TSH levels have to be treated by thyroid hormone replacement. If her TSH level are more than3.5 in pregnancy, then her thyronorm dose needs to be increased to control the hormonal levels. There is no diet available to normalize thyroid hormone levels. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Dr Deepti Verma
