Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to different causes:
- a pinched nerve or radicular irradiating pain from a bulging intervertebral disck - gastro-esophageal reflux - acute pancreatitis.
For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your doctor for a physical exam and some tests:
- a cervical spine X ray study - a chest X ray study - complete blood count - kidney and liver function tests - amylase and lipase plasma levels - blood electrolytes.
I would also recommend taking an antiacid or PPI (omeprazole, pantoprazole). If these drugs help improve your situation, it would be indicative of gastro-esophageal reflux or gastritis. You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues. Hope to have been helpful! Kind regards, Dr. Aida
