How Can Chest And Back Pains Be Reduced?

I had a heart attack and two stents put in, I have bad side effects on all statins, finely I tried crestor 5mg for a month and my cholesterol wend way down, I started having chest pains and back pains upper lower anytime I try to do anything my mussels tighten up and poping, the pain gets real bad so I stopped taking it and had a attack twice as I couldn't breath or hardley move my mussels from the burning pains and had to go to emergency room, I stopped taking it but chest back pain remains when I try doing anything, the more I do the worse the pain were I can't move but if I rest pain stops, I am no longer taking crestor but might have nerve damage, I read it can cause permanent mussel nerve damage.

hello,I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM.I can understand your concern about side effect of statins. There are few ways to overcome this problem. One thing is clear that it is very important medicine for prevention of further blocks in heart.so you can try following options
1.stop rosuvastatin and replace it with Pitavastatin ,a medicine of same class. Many a times medicines of same class but different compound may has less side effect.
2.Take additional VIt,D and calcium along with your regular crestor.
3.Though we dont have enough evidence but may try to take it on alternate days.
you may discuss above aspects with your treating doctor and try any of the options.
hope this should help you.
My best wishes
