Heavy And Painful Periods. Prolonged Bleeding. Have Uterine Fibroid. Should I Have Fibroid Removed?

My periods are very heavy and painful...My last monthle periods are lasting about 11 days. I have a 10 cintemeter fibroit over my uterus and another 3 centimiter fibroit inside my uterus...during my ultrasound exam the lab technician was not able see my left ovary at the time...Should I have my fibroit and uterus remove...

Thanks for the query.

Treatment of symptomatic fibroids depends on the age, parity of the patient, size, number of fibroids and severity of the symptoms.
As you are having large sized fibroids with symptoms like menorrhagea, dysmenorrhea etc, if you have completed your family, better to go for hysterectomy.
