Having Pain In Leg, Ingrown Toenails Not Healed, Gaining Weight. What's Going On? How To Lose Weight?

I have had a few things going on with me. First is I have been having pains in my legs for about three weeks now. Two ingrown toenails that have not healed in 8 months. I m sleep constantly now and have gained about 50 pounds the past year and can not loose it. What is going on? I am very active! (not a couch potato) Can you Help?

hi mattinglycody
thanks for your query on health care magic
Firstly ill like to tell you that activity cannot be determined by yourself. The fact that you are gaining weight around 50 pounds in a year is suggestive that your activity required to burn your calories intake
is less .If you burn calories more than what you consume and still gain weight then there is some pathological abnormality for which you need to get your hormonal assay done .The state of malaise and myalgia point towards the same .Ill suggest get your Routine blood and urine tests , your ECG , and hormonal assay.Consult your physician with the reports .
As far as ingrowing toe nails is concerned change your shoes /Footwear as they must be compressing the toes.Secondly if its not causing any inflammation / infection then it needs to be corrected surgically by partial toe removal to give you a permanent relief. It would not heal on itself.
Pain in legs is a very non specific complaint as you need to be more specific in the region of leg involved in the pain , whether its muscle pain in calves , your sole of foot , or joints .The treatment depends on that .
So ill suggest visit your physician and hell refer you to various specialities with the reports needed ( endocrinologist ,Surgeon or plastic surgeon for toe nail and orthopedic surgeon for leg pain
I hope i have answered all your queries
If any more doubts , feel free to post again
God Bless

Hi mattinglycody, I think you should get your whole body checkup done with an emphasis on your thyroid profile and blood sugar test. The lethargy, and weight gain could be explained due to hypothyroidism and if so treatment is simple. I hope you get better soon.
