Having Pain In Chest And Back. Had An ECG, ECHO And TMT. Still Having Pain
hello doctor - Recently my mother was complaining that she pain in the chest at exactly one point (in the left part of the chest) exactly at the middle. At the same point the pain is there in her back as well. I took her to hospital, had ECG, ECHO and TMT...everything is normal and her LDL is 108...But still she has a mild to medium pain in that part ..
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. I would come up with these possibilities for this pain in the chest ,radiating in the back, these includes. 1 The first possibility is of peptic ulcer disease or hiatus hernia ( heart burn) .Diagnosis can be confirmed by upper G I endoscopy.Reason of this type of pain may be greasy , spicy foods .Tension is also one of the most important cause of heart burn type pain. 2 The 2nd possibility is of pancreatitis as it may cause upper left abdominal pain, which is usually radiating in the back. Diagnosis can be confirmed by examination of serum amylase and lipase enzymes. 3 Chondritis is one of the least possible reason for this type of pain. Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by physician. In my opinion as all reports are normal , consult a physician and get his opinion regarding above mentioned . Good luck. Dr. HET
