Having Mild Discomfort On The Testicular Region. Prescribed Novaclox After Urine Test. Suggest?
Hi,
I am having a mild discomfort on the left testicular region and done an self examination and see that there is a difference in the feel in comparison to the right one. I consulted a general physician and after a detailed urine examination he subscribed Novaclox LB as the prescription. But I am worried if this could be more.

Hi
There are many conditions in the scrotum which causes discomfort.
They include infection called epididymoorchitis,Torsion,epididymal cyst etc.
You better go for an ultrasound/Colour doppler scrotum.
If it is infection,you need a better antibiotic than Novaclox LB.
I prefer Levofloxacin and ornidazole,anti inflammatory tablets.
Please meet a Surgeon/Urologist and proceed

You have not mentioned your age, marital status and recent sexual activities which are having some relevance to your present complaints.
Self examination may not be adequate.
Your problem may either be due to Epididymitis, a varicocele or even a hydrocele. Novaclox LB may not be adequate. Certain blood work along with an ultrasound examination will help you to arrive at the diagnosis and treatment has to be planned accordingly.
