Having Gas, Diarrhoea And Pain In Abdomen. Done With Urine And Blood Tests. Could It Be Ulcer?
Sure. I have a lot of gas. It rumbles. Been having diareah of and on for the last week. I also have pain down below like someone kicked me there. I also went to Eric and they did urine and blood tests but very surprised when they said negative and blood looked good. I am stumped on this one. Thought maybe a ulcer but doesn t explain pain down below.
Hello and welcome to HCM, A history of gas and pain can be due to regurgitation, indigestion, or an ulcer as you are suspecting. If a bleeding ulcer is present from a long period, it could produce low hemoglobin and blood in stools. However, if it is not bleeding the blood parameters could be normal and no blood is detected in stools. Urine will not show any positive results in case of an ulcer. You need to get an upper gastro-intestinal (GI) endoscopy. Any ulcer or growth can be detected on upper GI endoscopy. Till that time you can take proton pump inhibitors empty stomach for symptomatic relief. Consult a gastroenterologist for endoscopy and further management.
