Have Severe Headache, Vomiting And Lower Back Pain
I have had severe headaches, vomiting and lower back pain since last Saturday; ct scan yesterday showed sinusitis. i got 2 prescriptions; hydrocodon acetamiophen-325 mg once a day, and ic levofloacin every 6 hrs. i took my pills at 430; at 6:00 I began vomiting. do i need to retake my pills now or is it ok to wait til the next time they are due?
Thank you for asking on HCM! I understand your concern.
I would like to explain that based on what you refer, you have been 90minutes after taking these drugs without vomiting. This means that during this time an an measurable amount of drug has been absorbed and got into your blood.
So I would recommend you to wait until the next time for another pill, to avoid overdosage and possible side effects.
I would also advise you to consult with a neurologist for a careful examination. Your lower back pain may be not related to the sinus infection.
A lumbar column x ray, an abdominal ultrasound and an urine analysis may be needed to exclude possible other causes of back pain.
Hope to have been helpful!
Greetings! Dr. Aida
