Have Pain In Shoulder, Upper Back Pain, Dizziness. Quit Smoking. Took Nicotine Patch. Is This Anxiety?
After 25 years of smokimg, I quit 5 months ago. I am still on the nicotine patch, but have recently started having pain in my top left shoulder and upper back pain just behind my shoulder blades. I also have been experiencing dizziness/lightheadness and foggy feeling that come and go. I am really worried - but scared to go to the dr. Is it anxiety? I am a 40 yo male.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. The pain is not at all due to anxiety, but to be scared is the anxiety. I advise you to taper the tobacco patch also. You have stopped the smoking, it is a good thing. The pain could be due to gastric irritation, muscular pain , or spondylosis. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have M.R.I. for diagnosis and treatment. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
