Hello Reshma, Welcome to healthcare magic. Severe hair loss over few months is usually due to acute telogen effluvium. It is a hair loss pattern usually triggered by a physical illness eg:viral fever, typhoid fever, hepatitis, etc which you would have about 3 - 6 months prior to onset of hair fall or due to psychological stress. It could also be due to underlying anaemia, thyroid abnormalities and after delivery. You need to check your hemoglobin levels, serum ferritin levels and thyroid status. Please have a good diet including green leafy vegetables, eggs, dates. Adgain is a good treatment for telogen effluvium and you may continue it for atleast 3 months. Your doctor has done blood tests most probably to rule out anemia and thyroid abnormalities. Kindly follow up with him with the reports.
