Have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Pain Under Rib Cage, Edema Due To Steroids. Have Addison S Disease. Cause Of Pain?
I have irritible bowl syndrome. I also have a number of other disorders. I've had a pain in or under my right rib cage for abt 2 weeks. Very mild, not troublesome exactly, just that it's lasting so long. Could be anything from irritation and pressure of wearing a jacket because the weather's cool, but sometimes there are sharper pangs, and a couple of times noticeable pangs when I moved my rib cage as I inhaled. Could IBS be a cause? Or the edema from taking too high a dose of steroids. (I have Addison's Disease so must have the cortisone.)
Hi, thanks for calling Health care magic forum. You have irritable bowel syndrome, it can cause such pain and discomfort. The other causes could be the gastric irritation due to the hyper acidity, peptic ulcer, or irritant foods, gall bladder infection or the stones. you may need to have an M.R.I, gastroscopy, and liver function tests for diagnosis. so i advise you to consult a gastro enterologist for diagnosis and treatment. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
