Have Hepatitis C. Blood Test Done To Check Liver Function. What Does Report Suggest?

I have hep c and just had a blood test to see where my liver level's are at. All they said was I was at 10 million. I do not know what the normal scale is. four yrs ago I was at 16 million and for yrs before that I was at 25 million. can you tell me if my levels are better or worse? Thank You I am trying to find my e-mail as my son just recently changed it.

Your value of ten millions means viral load.
viral load is the amount of specific viruses that you have, in a given volume of your blood (usually 1 milliliter = 1 cubic centimeter). More precisely, it means that the amount of Hep C genetic material found in your blood corresponds to as many Hep C viruses as the given number says.
There appears to be no significant correlation between HCV RNA levels and histological activity in patients untreated by anti-viral therapies (Interferon).
 Viral load varies between infected individuals but is not a useful prognostic indicator nor does it measure the severity of virus-induced liver disease and so one can not say that your reports are better than before.
Consult your gastroenterologist for discussion about this.
