Have Had Low Pelvic Pain, Red Spotting, Feeling Pressure And Bloated. Getting Painful And Heavy Periods. Any Ideas?

I have had low pelvic pain and bright red spotting around about ovulation and afterwards accompanied with bloating and a feeling of pressure, this can go on for about a week. I am 42 and I am not taking any birth control and have a period every 3- weeks. Occasionally sex can be painful around about this time. My period has recently become very painful and heavier although only lasts a few days.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms that you have could be due to ovarian pathology or endoetriosis. A hormonal problem also needs to be ruled out after proper tests.I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
