Have Delay In Periods. Pregnancy Test Is Negative. What Could Be The Reason For This?
Hi Doctor,
I had a missed period of fourteen days (Last period was on March 23) and on the 9th day i had a pregnancy test and it was negative . On fourteenth day I had a blood flow like periods in the night but the next day there was no spotting and I became normal. So I consulted a doctor and did a blood test to confirm pregnancy and the result was negtive. My doctor told me to wait for one week .Plse suggest if there is any possibility of pregnancy or this is due to any horomonal imbalance. If I am pregnant is there any problem relating to my foetus, Plse advise as my age is 34 and I am very tensed, if there would be any complications- Thank you
You should wait another week to repeat the blood test for beta-HCG (quantitative) again. One TVS scan is also helpful. Sometimes late pregnancy can be occurred.
Other reasons are hormonal imbalance, stress, ovarian cyst, thyroid disturbance, over wt/ loss, irregular diet habit, psychological factor etc.
Following above tests, you need to consult with gynecologist for relevant investigations & take suggestive measures accordingly.
Don't be worried. Good luck.
