Have PCOD, Irregular Periods. Prescribed Obimet For Cysts. Will I Conceive?

I am 37 yrs lady with 10 years daughter. Pcod patient also. My period is not regular. For my first delivery I had some tablets for 3 months. After that I conceived. After that we separated for 8 years. I got 2nd marriage. Now I want to conceive again. So I consulted a gynac doctor. As per her many cyst is there and She prescribed “Obimet *SR”. will it help me to conceive. Kindly advise me on the same

Hi,
Since you are a patient of PCOD, your consultant may have prescribed the medication to overcome insulin resistance which is often seen associated with this condition and spontaneous ovulation often happens once insulin resistance is corrected in PCOD. Also, please bear in mind that you may also need treatment for cysts if they do not regress spontaneously, especially considering your age. You should see if you ovulate and menstruate naturally with this treatment; else, you may need induction of ovulation. Please maintain a healthy weight and regular exercise and take a healthy diet.
