Had Unprotected Sex. Missed Birth Control Pill. Worried? Should I Get Plan-B?
I had unprotected sex this past Saturday night. I'm on birth control, but that was my last day on the sugar pill and last day of my period. He ejaculated in me and I was supposed to start up my pills again yesterday, but forgot to take it. I just took the pill from yesterday and will take my today's pill at the regular time. Should I be worried about anything? And should I get Plan-B just in case?
Hi thanks for your question. There is nothing to worry, as that was last day of your oral contraceptive pills. You forgotten to take the first tablet of your next cycle and during this period you didn't had any sexual activity. There is no use in taking plan B as Plan B works within 72 hours of the unprotected sex. Hope this answers your question.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Sex was on last day of period. Usually ovulation occurs 10-20 days after 1st day of menstruation. In your case there is no any chance of any pregnancy. Home test is also not necessary. Good luck. Dr. HET
