Had Foot Sprain, Suggested Boots. When Walking Without Boot, Pains. Need Bone Scan?

My daughter was diagnosed with a little toe fracture at er but later diagnosed by orthopedic as a foot sprain she was then put in a boot for 3 weeks went for check after 3 weeks there was still pain when she walks without boot so a bone scan was suggested is this necessary orthopedic says he wants tests because it should not still be hurting but she was previously diagnosed with a fracture by er wouldn't this be cause of existing pain?

Hi,
It seems that she might have fracture in little toe and now there might be mal union giving rise to continued pain on that part.
Go for scan and find out the cause of having pain.
