Had Acute Pain In Neck And Shoulder Pain. What Is Paracentral Diffuse Bulging Of Intervertebral Disc?
sir, I had acute pain in left neck and left shoulder pain, upper left arm and have done MRI scan of C spine . The impressions of report is.. 1. Moderate degree of discs dessication noted at cervical spines with loss of cervical lordosis . 2. Paracentral diffuse bulging of intervertebral disc noted at C5-C6 level causing compression of traversing nerve roots at left lateral recess . 3. Diffuse posterior bulging of intervertebral disc noted at C6-C7 level causing mild compression of dural sac. However traversing and exiting nerve roots appear normal. 4.A smll posterocentral focal herination of intervertebral disc noted at C4-C5 level causing mild compression of dural sac in center. However traversing and exiting nerve roots appear normal. Please advice the treatment ...i am confused....almost a month over... regards. Guru

disc is narrowing space betwwen vertebrae.
there is fluid between vertebrae called nucleus pulposis covered by annulusd fibrosis in case of disc bulge the space betwwen vertebrae become narrow and this fluid compress on annulus but not release out of it.in case of herniation this fluid release out of annulus lead to inflammation of nerves
