Had A Ureathreal Sling Procedure With Cut In Vagina And Sling, Pain And Leakage Still. Will It Go Away ?

about 4 months ago I had a ureathreal sling procedure. One small cut in the vagina and the sling is mesh with a barb on each end. Four weeks after the procedure I started having pain and leakage. i can deal with the leakage, but the pain and discomfort is difficult to
deal with. Some days aren't as bad as others. How long will the pain be with me? Will it eventually go away?

Hi,
Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. As you are still leaking even after the procedure, I feel you are having mixed incontinence. It can be diagnosed only with Urodynamic studies. If there is bladder overactivity, it wont be helpful with sling surgery.
One more possibility is UTI-urinary infection. Sometimes if this is treated, your leakage problem is corrected along with that.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow-ups. If you like my answers kindly rate it, and write a review as well. Please do not forget to accept it.
Thank you,
Wish you good health.
Regards,
Dr Arif
