OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

There is no specific cause for subserosal fibroids. This fibroid can lead to excessive menstrual cycle and menstrual abnormality, although medical management may be tried but surgery may also be required.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy S. Bhattacharjee, OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
