Grandmal seizures are generalized seizures and these seizures occurs due to hyper synchronous brain electrical activity. You have history of tongue bite also. See Ibuprofen will help in healing tongue only, but there is a definite need to see a Neurologist or Psychiatrist. Any single episode of seizure should be taken seriously, and medicine therapy is needed for long time for seizures. Get your EEG done to rule out any sub threshold seizure activity in brain. Medicines like Valproate, Carbamaxepine, Phenatoin etc are very useful in Grandmal Seizures. Apart from that follow complete seizure prophylaxis instructions.
One of the major problems in seizure is injury and/or aspiration.
Don't worry - the pain and inflammation take time to settle down...if it does not settle down in a couple of days, you will need X-rays to exclude underlying bone injury...
Ibuprofen is reasonable. If very severe, anodyne analgesic like codeine may help...
Tongue may benefit from local anaesthetic spray...
You should see a Neurologist / for prevention of future attacks of these Tonic Clonic Seizures (Grand Mal). There are several classes of drugs and they can help..
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
