Gurgling Sound In Chest And Throat At Night, Shallow Breathe, Fatigue. Chest Infection?

Hi there for the past 5 days I have a gurgling sound in my chest/throat when in lying in bed at night I can only breath quite shallowly and not take deep breaths and I am also tired. I'm assuminmg I have some form of chest infection? do i need to see my GP and get some antibiotics or will it go of its own accord?

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be due to:
1. Respiratory tract infections: it can be confirmed by investigations like complete blood count & X ray of chest.
Management includes antibiotics under the guidance of your GP

2. Any obstruction in the respiratory tract: causes gurgling sound & difficulty in breathing.
It can be detected by proper clinical examination & bronchoscopy.

So, kindly visit your Physician & discuss regarding this.
